Friendly staff, large welcoming place with pretty good beer offerings & good food (not much for the veg sect, though). 6pk sales, etc... If you pass though on 44 often enough, as I have, and you see this place each time, as I have, it's worth stopping off eventually, as I did.
Upon sitting at the bar I was greeted pleasent by John behind the counter. As this is a brewery as well as restaurant I decided to get a flight of 6 in-house crafted beers. John was knowledgeable on their beers and just friendly in general. The beers were exceptional and quite reasonably priced. I also ordered an Ozark Forest Mushroom pizza, which was actually one of the best pizzas I've ever had. I generally don't like to just rave and I often find myself reserving the 5 star rating for truly great places but this place deserves it. I recommend the Ozark mushroom pizza, as well as sparking conversation with other folks around you. Sitting next to me was a woman who turns out to be the local supplier of beef for Public house. People are kind here and this feels like the gathering place for well-spirited folk.
Amazing value! Most craft breweries start at 6-7$/beer. Here it's $4-5. They are always good and always changing it up with good seasonals. Food is locally sourced and well prepared.
Great atmosphere. The outside courtyard is awesome. Well decorated, some yard games and a giant chess board (Harry Potter style!). We had the brick oven pizza and sampled the beer. Ran into the ST. James Priest, nice staff and guests. Super friendly place.
